Events

A one-of-a-kind free event, DesignRVA is a hands-on community day where children and their families can imagine and build a Richmond neighborhood dedicated to the spaces where they live, learn, work, and play.

We invite children and their families from across Greater Richmond to participate in our annual community event. DesignRVA highlights health and wellness, land use, transportation, and housing by asking the question, “How would YOU design a more equitable and fair Greater Richmond?

Community Redevelopment Plans

The Jackson Ward Community Plan brought Gilpin Court and Jackson Ward residents, planning experts, elected officials, and community members together to reach an informed, shared vision for the future of the neighborhood. Storefront held over 5 community events to collaborate and bring this vision to life.

The Community Plan is now a living document that is designed as a guide for community empowerment and a map for continued planning and action.
